This was the first time I purchased from Jabong.Com. So its fair that I compare this Portal with another eShopping Portal. I ordered similar product( different flavor though) at Flipkart( Flipkart did not carry the oil I needed) .
I had ordered a bottle of Essential Oil from Jabong. It was approximately Rs.100 cheaper than what I could find anywhere else. I opted for Cash On Delivery.
By SMS and EMAIL notification I was informed by Jabong that the product has been shipped( Approximately three days after I ordered) .
Now here where the sad part starts.
Every Day after that I would get a SMS claiming that the Delivery would be Done Today and that the concerned person would call up before coming for Delivery. Nothing wrong with this except the delivery person does NOT fixes up appointment with you before coming down. He simply shows up at a time best suited for him. Usually near to 6PM.
Now it gets even more funnier. For Two such days( after the Promised delivery date) the courier guys comes in prompt at 6PM when I’m not in office to collect the package. He also promptly informs me that he cant possibly come up to deliver the package since he can not park anywhere. So for two days I inform him that I cant take delivery since I’m not in office and that he needs to come early before 4 PM.
On the Third day( after the Promised delivery date), he again shows up at 6PM. I again request the courier person to come early as I’m not in office after 5: 30 PM. Or he can leave the package with the Reception and they will pay him. Not surprisingly he does NOT show up. I also suggest he call up before coming up.
On Fourth day the Call Center folks call me up . I explained the situation to them and they promise to call up before delivery and also they would show up early. As you would have guessed by now, they again show up at 6PM.
And here is where things get worse. again the Delivery guy shows up at 6PM when im not in office. I asked the courier person why he is not coming early despite so many requests from my side. He was brisk in his reply " Dont ask me . im just delivery boy. If you have any issue with me call up our customer care". I was shocked at the unprofessional attitude and hang up the phone. He again calls me in two minutes and rudely asks me "Do you want to have this order or NOT, please clarify".
To cut the story short . keep this is in mind before ordering at Jabong:
1) They DO NOT fix up appointment before coming.
2) The delivery guys I came across with, was rude.
3) Not a prompt delivery( its been 10 days since I ordered. yet to receive shipment)
4) Opt for Cash on Delivery. Atleast your payment is safe if this guys falter on delivery.
