Talking about the story the basic plot was the same. The not so bad guy is assumed to be a rouge agent even when he isn’t. Although in this case it was slightly indirect. Seems like all action movies now a days are mission impossible rip off.(or Bourne, whatever suits your cup of tea.) Robin(Cobie smulders) also did a fabulous job. I was amazed to see this side of her soon after watching HIMYM(Its awesome!)
You know the phrase "an action packed movie" well this movie.wasn’t; plain and vague action scenes with a plain and vague plot. No crazy gun fights or explosions, only lame prolonged last stand off between Jack Reacher and the main bad guy, The Hunter, which obviously Reacher wins.
Compared to the first part of the sequel, the movie was an obvious attempt by the franchise to lure the fans of the first movie to make some more cash.
All in all a poorly executed movie with a good cast.
