Jai Jagannath!!??????

Jagannath Temple, Puri is an Hindu temple dedicated to lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Goddness Mahalaxmi! It is located on Eastern Coast of India at puri in the state of Odisha. I have visited twice to this place. There are bus services available from time to time to puri from Bhubneshwar, the capital of Odisha and via many places nearby! If you want peace come to this place.! There are various stories related to this temple. Its one of the important prigrimage of Hindus among four great Char Dham!

The temple is famous for its Rath Yatra or Chariot festival. The image of Jagannath is made of wood and its replaced in every twelve yrs or 19 yrs. !

Well! For Darshan, Non-Hindus are totally restricted from entry not even hindus from other countries! It has 4 entrances in all directions. It remains open from 5 am to 12 midnight! While approaching towards the main image, the Pandas are present so guys! Be aware of them! They asks for money etc! Darshan is very easier and queue is not at all long.! The priests behave very well with the visitors. No lighting is present inside the temple except for a Diya!

Daily Offerings are made to the Lord six times a day! The temple’s kitchen is world’s largest. The Mahaprasad is cooked in earthen ports and the water used is only from the nearby wells named Ganga and Yamuna! The Prashad prepared is to be without onion and garlic and its considered to be divine!

There is a beach nearby.so one can go and enjoy with their family! The hotels available nearby are CHEAPER, NEATand CLEAN! You can also have a scenic beauty of SAND ART by SUDARSHAN PATTNAIK .The whole temple provides peace to such an extent that one can really forget his worries ! Seeing Jagannath, one can get tears on looking at him. It seems as if he is really presently ! I would suggest everyone if you really want peace.Have Darshan of Lord Jagannath! Thank you!
