Jamshedpur it is in Jharkhand state. Founder of the city was Jamsetji Tata. This city was named as Jamshedpur to honour his founder Jamsetji Tata. Hence it is also known as Tatanagar. In the Jamshedpur a big steel plant was build by tata company, which is known as
TATA STEEL .After that Jamshedpur got another name, the Steel City. This steel plant was build by Dorabji Tata. After many years of research he selected Jamshedpur, because this city is rich in iron as well as it has a big river known as Subarnarekha river .This city was suitable site in all aspects for a steel plant.
After the decision taken to build steel plant, the plan for this steel city was created by Dorabji Tata. He has a clear vision for the plan of the city. He thought not only to build a steel plant, but also to make this city beautiful as well.He built all the necessary comfort for the works of this steel plant.Here he built quarters, wide clean roads, good drainage systems, many dispensaries and the main hospital.
Dorabji Tata also insisted to make this city beautiful. So here wide roads are planted with shady trees.Here there is many playgrounds near quarters for children.In this city there is a big
international cricket stadium too, which is known as Keenan Stadium.There is another stadium known as JRD Tata Sports Complex for football. And not to forget the very beautiful and a good visiting place the Jubilee Park. The Jubilee Park is a very big garden, here we will find many types of flower plant and big flower trees and show trees and shady trees as well .This Jubilee Park also has small ponds, waterfalls and small and big fountains too.There is a statue of the founder Mr. Jamsetji Tata. This statue is made up of eight metals.
