I prefer Jassi when compared to Tulsi, Parvati, Prerna and Shaina. The reason, Jassi is far from all the high tech, yet so-called traditional (K) joint families. Jassi is simple but intelligent. She looks dumb with her chashma, braces and her hair-do and her awful voice. Yet, I simply love her. Jassi is the same old story of an ugly girl in love with a handsome and charming prince. But, what is it that sets it apart? Nothing! There are simply no extraordinary things in this story. But among all the bade khandaan Ekta products, this one looks like a gem.
Jassi looks exactly like how I have described her or maybe she looks even worse. The cast looks good as of today, with Apoorva Agnihotri playing the lead role, Rakshanda khan is pretty good and the rest of the cast are good too. Though, the cast is not entirely comprising of new artistes, I do not know any of their names ‘coz they do not belong to the family of Ekta Kapoor and they have been seen very less in the past few years.
I was surprised the other day to find how popular is Jassi! I never expected this one to make news. Looks like I am not the only one who is fed up of the Ekta products. Well, I cannot blame Ekta alone, for all the other non-Balaji soaps and serials are also highly inspired by Ektaisms and every serial, whether Ekta or not, serves you the same dishes of big families, their stupid ideologies, with scheming villains and romanticisms- all cooked into one. But Jassi is free from all Ektaisms and looks and sounds fresh and new (but I fear not for too long).
The story seems to be sailing along well at the moment but I cannot assure you of the future. B’coz it is inevitable that the ugly girl is going to turn into a beautiful and ravishing damsel. I wish that will not happen and the girl is going to remain herself by looks and thoughts so that we get a reality product.
