Welcome to Bollywood, one more time!! Initially it was really an entertaining show when Farookh Sheikh was hosting it.He brought the guests in and each of them had parents, relatives, friends, neighbours and teachers coming in and sharing things about their childhood and teenage years with us.It took us a step closer to knowing what kind of people the are in real life.The programme had a fair share of highly accomplished people who have really made their lives worthwhile, have touched our lives in one way or another.One thing I just could not understand was why mostly film people were brought onto the show and also what people like Akshay Kumar, Tushar Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Shilpa Shetty, Suneil Shetty, Rani Mukherjee, Karishma Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Sunjay Dutt, Adnan Sami, Raveena Tandon have achieved to be brought on the show.What is their claim to fame??!!Personally I would have loved to see Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Amitabh Bachchan, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Azeem Premji, Sabeer Bhatia, The Ambanis and The Tatas on the show. The show in which they brought in Ma’am Aishwarya Rai, well...all I can say about that one is now she has perfected the art of smiling, talking, behaving so fake-ly!!Nothing she does appears real...it all looks as if it was practised a million times over!!I for one can’t stand her!! It was entertaining and watchable till Farookh Sheikh hosted it, then came Mr.Suresh Oberoi and badly sced up everything!!Thank God for the small mercies they had the good sense to end it.Suresh might be an accomplished actor, but hosting a show...not his cup of tea!! I hated the way some celebrities’’bahaoed’’crocodile tears pretending to be very touched by the message they just heard.I realised one thing...they are better actors off-screen than on-screen!!Also Farookh Sheikh’s Sonali Varma co-host used to put me off immensely!!Her very’’hip’’and’’with-it’’dresses did not suit her one bit and also she had an irritating way of speaking!!
