I have been travelling in Jet since 1997 and have travelled both in India and outside India in other airlines. I can safely say that Jet is my first choice.
Some of my colleagues from USA have found it better than some of the Domestic US airlines. (They give you a packet of peanuts and half glass of coke on most US domestic routes).
There ground as well in cabin crew is energetic, enthusiastic and friendly. On all airports ( I have travelled to almost whole India with them except for the North East) they have excellent ground handling crew and priority treatment for their frequent flyers.
Most of the planes are BRAND NEW and does not remind you of Wright brothers unlike some other airlines I have flown.
The ground staff normally accommodates you for your seat prefrence provided you are checking in early. They also offer you complimentary pass to the snacks bar if you are early although this facility is only for the Jet Privilege members and Business Class Passengers.
In flight the service is impeccable with decent enough food which is always hot and has never made me sick. I know some people dont like it but some people dont like any thing.
There has been times when the Flight Attendants have asked me to wait for 5 minutes as they wanted to make fresh coffee/tea for me as the pot in the tray is old by the time they reached me in the last few rows they were serving( I would have not noticed the difference).
I have not missed my luggage even once even on connecting flights. Only once one of my colleagues baggage got damaged.
Their security check is very elaborate and some times gets on your nerves, but I would rather go through an elaborate security check than end up dead.
The frequent flyer program is good and actually works and they issue the free tickets without any tantrums if you are eligible.
Over all I find that Jet is the airline to fly in India and is as good as it can get.
