Hi everyone !
Started my air travel just recently in 2004 - but have been regularly criss crossing the country and at times abroad since then. have accumalated a fair amount of miles by now.
I always thought that Jet would be better than Indian airlines - now Indian.
Kudos to the guys at jet - their planes have the most efficient utilisation of space - from the airlines point of view. The place was woefully inadequate and I had a lot of trouble as I could not sit comfortably and my leg movements were highly restricted. This is a common feature on all Jet aircrafts - I feel even Sahara has more legroom. I am talking of the economy class - business has comfortable space in all the airlines.
One incident comes to my mind - I was returning to Delhi form Bhopal and had caught the evening flight. As the flight was a hopping flight, it was to land at Indore whch it did with a huge bump - I was sitting towards the tail section and this confirmed my theory, the rear seat in a bus, car or air plane are the worst - you get the maximum bumps. Spent some time in Indore while the airplane was being checked. Landing in Delhi was no better.
The ground staff and the air hostesses are thorough professional - Indian has improved a lot after Jets strong showing in this area.
The flights are mostly punctual but again .........it happens with all the airlines.
In flight food - I dont know why this should be an issue - tastes the same as Indian and other domestic airlines.
All this notwithstanding, I always spend a terrible time in the flight - less space. Ground and cabin service of Indian is also upt the mark - only you dont get to see young girls (which I believe is at the back of the mind of most guys).
I always prefer to fly Indian or Kingfisher.
Happy landings !!!!!
