The Sound of Fun

Indian cinema has taken a new turn in the recent years. We have seen more movies which are made for people to enjoy and have a good laugh and this one sure comes in the stride of Dil Chahta Hai. More focussed on clean entertainment , and at the same time relating to the changing minds.

This movie has it all.. It does not depict the complicated relationships and lifestyle of the very elite. It does not point fingers at the harsh reality of distrubiution of economy! by showing deprived lower class.. neither does it talk about politics, nor is there any mention of male -femal tussels.

It does not end with tears in your eyes.. This simple movie , proves how the new middle class families of a cosmopoliton place enjoy life. Needs are simple and friendship matters heavily. This movie is completely Bombaya! and bein a true bombayite, I could relate to the lifestyle.

Two couples in their late twenties, and their lifestyle. Not too complicated. They like meeting up for a cup of coffee and chats, they have fun time in their own ways. Juhi and Rahul Bose should be termed as the captivating figurines in the movie. Juhi still retains her charm and pure looks whilst she makes everybody feel loved and wanted. Her house has the cozyness which is inviting and she is a typical BHABHI to all. She plays her part with such ease, you can scarcely believe tht she is acting. She seems to be playing her own self. Her relationship with her husband (played by Sanjay Suri) follows the trend which should be strengthened between couples.

Lot of respect, love, understanding and above all friendship. Sanjay Suri is a indian version of ’’Raymond’’ from ’’Everybody loves Raymond’’ . People who have seen this popular tv series would understand what I am getitn at. He is the kind of fellow with whom you have to fall in love. There are no two thoughts about it. Be it the careful guy who once in a while enjoys skiving from the office, or who acts like a boy when he knows he is a man.

Rahul Bose and Rinki khanna play the part of a couple having marital problems. They have trouble relating to each other and understanding the needs. They bring forward the point of if you LISTEN.you will survive.

A double emphasis on ’’ GOD HAS GIVEN you two ears and One Mouth. Remember that ’’ But Rahul with his witty jokes, and quirky dialogs and superb body language manage to keep you entertained till the end of the movie. His obsession about RD Burman the eptiome of a music director, makes you smile.

I try to watch any movies which I can. He is extremely superb actor, and his intelligence shows off. He looks well read and that makes him all the more attractive. Rinki does not have much chance to emote in the movie, but whatever she gets, she does it with a style. She has evolved as a good actress and teams up with very good dress style.

The other cast in the movie fail to stress their presence. Ria sen looks like a dumb bimbo, and acts more like she is catwalking instead of playing her part. But they do not anyway hamper the fun of the movie. ALL in all, on a rainy day (and even otherwise) , when you are dull or chirpy, with friends would be the best .. this movie is sure to give you complete entertainment and raise your spirits.
