I would like to share my experience with Jio Mart Shopping, Hope this review helps you.
So at the starting of the year 2020, a new concept was launched which was known as JioMart. JioMart is an Indian online grocery delivery service, started as a joint venture with Reliance and Jio. In May 2020, JioMart launched 200 stores in cities and towns.
I had been buying all my groceries from D-mart but due to lockdown and COVID, I was unable to go outside and shop. As it was not possible to go outside we had to get something from local stores but there was one problem which was that you cannot get everything from one place sometimes you need to go far to get small things. But when I heard that Reliance had taken the initiative of delivering groceries from their new ventureJioMart I was surprised and thought of giving it a try.
I downloaded their app from the play store, opened the app, registered on it, and started selecting my product. The most helpful thing is that it has a simple layout with a good user interface, which made this app more user friendly. At that time it was a beta version but still was user friendly. I mostly found that all essential required products were listed on their app with reasonable prices nearly the same as other marts. So I added my products to my cart. I also added some vegetables like Cauliflower, Cabbage, etc, and fruits like bananas, oranges, apples, etc. Once my shopping was over then I placed my order by giving my home address and paid through my Jio wallet which cost me about 1330rs. So now comes the delivery service, which is not all punctual. The order was delivered the next day where due to COVID the delivery person doesnt come to your doorstep instead you need to go to your gate where the guy hands it over to you. The products were given in sealed carry bags with branding on it. Now when we opened the sealed bags we found ordered products. There wasnt any confusion or mistakes in the product and had recent manufacturing dates which were satisfying for me. But when I saw the farm products I got frustrated that the vegetables were rotten, expired, spoiled. The fruits were of very poor quality and I found that some items werent even delivered which were apples and oranges but still we had paid for those. So I immediately contacted JioMart Customer service and asked for my refund. They asked me for my Order no. and then said that they would contact me a few minutes. Afterward, I received a text message and email saying, "Namaste! With reference to the below email regarding the product delivery against order no, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Our team is working to process the refund amount and it will be credited into your source account within 7 working days. Hope you give us an opportunity to serve you our best." and after a few days, I received my refund for the selected products.
So my overall experience was as this a new concept in working it isnt reliable and satisfactory to everyone and the online grocery delivery stores still not that comfortable in India. Even if having large fundings from global investors the new e-grocery venture couldnt be said reliable or satisfactory as it let down many early customers with a bunch of complaints. So if anyone is trying to get stuff from this venture you need to take products of your own risk.
