Johnson’s baby oil has been a favorite choice of mine ever since the birth of my first child. I just love the smell of a baby who has this oil on them. I would use this oil on my baby’s head when he was an infant. This would keep his scalp from becoming dry and getting dry scalp.
I love all Johnson’s baby products, from their powders to lotion to oils. I have used them all, and I would recommend that you try all those products when you have a child. The other great thing about Johnson’s baby oilis it’s not just for baby’s. Yep you heard it right, even thought it says baby in the name doesn’t mean that an adult or child can’t use it.
I have found using this product to be a great help to my skin. I have dry skin in the wintertime, when the weather is cold and chapping begins. I buy this product now for myself, since my children are all grown up. I put a little oil on my skin and rub it gently into my skin to moisturize and protect the outer layer of my body. I have used this also when I wanted to take my make up off at night. I find using Johnson’s baby oil for my skin has put a new glow back into the old skin.
This product is also great to use in other ways. I have used this oil when my hair would start drying out in the summertime. I would heat the bottle of oil up on the stove. You can do this by adding water to a pot, and then sitting the bottle of lotion inside the water in the pot, then bring the water to a warm temp and this will heat the liquid oil and make the oil nice and warm. Then you add a generous amount of oil to your hair, and then wrap your hair in a warm towel. I heat my towel in the dryer before I put it on my head. This is an easy and cheap way to give your hair a hot-oil treatment. There is one draw back from doing this to your hair. Once your hair dries it is real greasy, so you then have to wash your hair a few times with your favorite shampoo to help take some of the grease out of your hair.
So you have seen three ways that I have used this oil. Your hair, your skin, and for removing make-up. But there is one more thing that I use this oil for and I will explain this to you in the following paragraph.
In the summer when I want to get a nice tropical tan look to my skin I will use Johnson’s baby oil and mix a tiny bit of Iodine into the bottle. Then I will shake the bottle real good and apply this to my skin and then lay out in the sun. The Iodine helps amplifies the sun’s rays and gives you that all over nice brown tan. It doesn’t die your skin or harm your skin in anyway. When you lay out with this oil and iodine the oil helps keep your skin from drying out due to dry skin from tanning. I really love to use this all summer long, and I have shown my friends and family how to do this as well. They say they love the look they get with this combination.
