Jolly LLB is a good Movie. Akshay are shocked when Jolly becomes responsible for suicide of a widow. The story is of how Jolly takes it upon himself to bring posthumous justice against the corrupt police department, represented brilliantly by’Mathur’(Anu Malik).
Director-Writer Subhash Kapoor replaced Arshad with Akshay with the hopes of bigger is better and he stuck to his motto. The cast was bigger and so was the story. Last installment was a rich brat getting away with hit and run. This time they brought in Hindu Muslim unity and terrorism.
Jolly 1 was not only about Jolly, but reflected the true plight of judiciary in the small town. We feel for the small towner judge who is awestruck by the celerbrity advocate(Boman Irani), or his feeling of irreverence as he is ridiculed behind his back. The well meaning lawyers who cannot even spell correctly or his having to choose between morals or his ambitions.
The second installment is a treat to watch but fails as it tries to bring the ground reality of many courts of India. Fans of the first intallment will definitely feel the lack of simplicity, but overall they wont regret buying the tickets:-)
