“Give me more money or step down from my Auto”, the driver shouted using slangs.
I went to Mysore a few days back to attend a seminar. It was a rainy day and I had to return from the university to my hotel. I was going to take a cab but a local boy ( whom I met at the university) suggested me “Jugnoo Autos”. Well I was happy as the price was really cheap than regular cabs. So I booked an auto. An auto arrived after 20 minutes or so and that too I had to ring up the driver for about 10 times.
Well that’s not it. The driver went half way and in the middle of the road he stopped his auto and demanded extra for the ride telling me that it’s his surge charge for providing service in bad weather. He expected that I’m bound to pay the extra money as I’m not local and would not want an argument in such a bad weather given that I’m unaware of local roads. But when I refused to pay he started threatening me using cuss words and forced me to get down in the middle of the highway, in that rain. I would say that’s the worst experience I ever had. Needless to say that I complained against the driver to the company but got no reply.
