The movie cover is highly deceptive. The cast gives u an impression that its a teenage flick
promising lots of fun, what with Micheal cera in the lead!(from superbad, arrested development). When it was released I just hit the theatre
glacing at the star cast and some amazing reviews from the critics I look upto.Infact the movie takes off well on the right note
at the start and there are some damn hillarious scenes and very crisp dialogues.
But the movie never progresses, there is a state of equilibrium maintained right through.
The whole theatre was full of american teens giggling right through the movie, but
I am sure the topic of this movie is way above the IQ level of normal AMerican teenagers to comprehend or give it a serious thought.
It tries to convey some message about teenage pregnancy with a cool MTV feel or what ever the shi*, I dont give a damn.
At the end I am not sure if this movie is for or against the issue of teenage pregnancy and what the heck it is trying to convey, maybe
I just switched off somewhere in the middle of the movie.IT fuu**ed my brains off.
I hate movies which wastes my time and lives me low at the end of it, & this movie did just that.
I am surprised to see that this movie is running to packed houses, even today .I am not sure if ppl are really liking the movie
or is it just the oscar hype that is pulling them to the theatres.
I am really not sure why this movie is rated so high by the critics nor why it is nominated in so many categories in oscars!
I am mightily surprised to see this movie being nominated for "Best picture", & ellen getting the nod for best actress nomination.
I had never heard or seen of Ellen page before, but she is very cute, mint fresh, cool and her acting is spontaneous, but I would never rate it as an oscar winning performance.
Micheal cera has no much role in this movie, but he does add that touch of humor whenever he shares the screen.Ok, to end on something positive I thought the soundtrack was cool .
