’Just Shoot Me’is a very entertaining and funny show which is telecast on weekdays at 7.30p.m(IST). The series is based on the characters who work in the ’Blush’fashion magazine run by Jack Gallo, his daughter(Maya), his inhouse photographer(Elliot) , the beauty and fashion editor( Nina Van Horn)and Jack’s assistant-cum-everything (Dennis Finch). Jack is happy running his magazine the way it is while his daughter Maya wants to revamp it to a more serious magazine dealing with important issues.
The plot has plenty of laffs thanks to all the idiosyncracies of each of the characters and how they interact with each other at their work place. Every episode revolves around the coverpage titles of the current issue of the magazine. Dennis has most of the good lines of the show and his deadpan style of dialogue delivery adds to the effect.
Some of the episodes like Elliot backing out of his marriage proposal to Maya; Jack making his will and Nina’s adventures with her english boyfriend have you in splits. Recently the show has started featuring guest stars which has increased the fun and the hilarity. The series has been nominated for six emmy awards and five Golden Globes. It is a must watch for me and for everyone who wants to unwind with a good dose of comedy.
