Just Dial Mumbai India - Original Employee review

I am Ex Employee of Just Dial and this is my real experience working at Just Dial mumbai(Software Team). Clearing my rounds of interview was dream come true for me, I was so happy that I was going to work with such a big brand. First day(1 Aug) I was introduced to my team and all the guys in management level namely Mr. Ramprasad Hariharan, Mr. Sandeep Kanchan, Mr. Sandeepan Chokroberty, etc. For me it was like wow some day even I will have a cabin like them and work with more responsibilities. I respected them like anything, over a period of time I got my work and responsibilities and with gods grace I was able to deliver what was required from me and that too with quality much better then anyone in the hi story of Just Dial had provided. I managed my team, interacted with vendors, interacted with members from other teams and frankly speaking no one never had any problem wrt my work or behavior. It was all going very smooth and every one was happy working with me. I had successfully completed my 3 n half months in no time. And was looking forward for good appraisal both positional and in salary. Even my manager was happy as I was performing duties really well. However there was something very different then my expectation with Just Dial.


It all happened on 14th Nov. 2011. When one of my team member decided to leave Just Dial(As she was already selected in NewApproach Marketing). No one in my team was even interested in talking to her or sharing a joke with her. But just to maintain smooth workflow and good atmosphere in the team me and my manager was talking normally with her. There was number of time when manager had decided to ask her to leave but we never wanted to spoil any ones career hence every time there was some mistake by her we let it go.


On 14th Nov she resigned in absence of her manager. HR asked her to stay back for one more day. But she had decided to spoil my and my managers career and also disrupt the well settled team. The issue was taken to VP HR Suparna Majumdar, even she requested her to stay back for one more day. She did all type of drama in front of HR. However she agreed to wait for one more day.


Next day when my manager came in he was aware of the issue and called me and her in room to discuss the issue. He told her if she want to leave he will not stop her and the same was with me. But as I told I always wanted to work with such big brand and that too for at least 5-6 years. However due to pressure from all the higher authorities I was asked to leave without doing any sort of investigation on the issue or quality of work I had performed, I had never expected such sad approach towards work from all Mr Ram Prasad Hariharan, Mr Sandeep Kanchan and HR VP Miss Suparna Majumdar. Today because of these few entities and management approach by the company I would never like to work with or do any sort of business with this company.


Hope someday Just Dial realizes the importance of Employees and take necessary steps to improve their Performance both with in the company and out side company.
