Please read Along- NO SPOILERS
First off I would like to say that I had far too many expectations from the Movie, it was inevitably not going to live up to all the hype and my expectations.
Now, people who have not yet watched it- please read along and people who have, please don’t waste any more of your precious time.
To be frank, the movie completely fails to engage the audience. It just drags on and on and on. The characters themselves seem bored and disengaged, and completely out of touch. If u ask me, too many loose ends and false leads- I was confused. The movie is something like Final Destination, with a Jurassic Park kind of twist. So, I ended paying attention on details, and this is where I went wrong- the effects were just effects and had no bearing to the actual movie script.
The main external factors compounding the downfall of his movie were-
A) Excessive hype.
B) SMSs revealing plot.
C) Too many big names associated with the movie
But, all’s not that bleak. The movie gets full marks for innovation and being non pedestrian in its thought process. It starts off with the SRK item-number, and the rest of the movie is devoid of any song and dance routine; just good beats and a pleasantly bohemian score, in keeping with the present music scene.
The only thing that was even marginally bearable in the move was its music score. The rest of the movie was a damp squib.
If, you still want to waste your precious time and watch the movie, please enter the movie hall like you would, enter to see a Govinda flick- no expectations, it is only then that you will enjoy the movie even marginally
