kabhi haan kabhi naa is just too great a movie to be written about. it is simple, heart warming, realistic and emotional. a simple guy who is a loser in aspects of life more than one wooing his love, losing it at the end but still getting himself going with full spirits is a moral every teenager has to learn.
suniel is one of the most down-to-earth and authentic characters I have ever witnessed on indian celluloid. SHAH RUKH KHAN did full justice to it and gave a performance of a life time. i felt every iota of sunile emotions - his joy when he gets to spend just an hour with anna at the carnival ball, his pain when he sees anna falling in love with chris and his courage when he gives away his love [ that too to someone he always envied ] with such an ease.
the screenplay doesnt have many loopholes unlike a typical commercial film but is equally entertaining as them nevertheless. thats a great quality about this film. but the best thing about KABHI HAAN KABHI NAA is it has a soul, a deep soul which is sure to leave an impact on our minds.
the songs are great, the locations are refreshing [ there is something charismatic about goa’s locales ] and the meloncholy unforgettable. KHKN is one movie u just cant forget. the title for this refreshing movie couldnt be any better - KABHI HAAN KABHHI NAA. UPS and DOWNS are bound to erupt, what is needed is a heart and courage to face them with the same spirit.

Here I am listing a few scenes which can be considered as the greatest and the most heart-wrenching ever in the indian cinema :-
when suniel observes anna getting closer with chris at andy’s wedding, sadly plays trumpet all night and just then sees a shooting star. [ OH, WHAT LYRICISM, MAN ! ]
suniel deviously fetching a chance to spend an hour with his love and the glee on his face all through it has to be seen to be believed.
albert divulging to suniel their plans about the CHRIS-ANNA wedding and suniel playing harmonica at the beach side with yesdi as the witness and then a crazy don sympathising with him and his pathos. [ JUST LISTEN TO THE MOST HAUNTING MUSIC PIECE IN THE BACKGROUND ]
suniel confessing to his parents about his duplicate marksheet, father briganza convincing his father to forgive him and the whole "WOH TO HAI ALBELA" sequence
suniel after a long thought sacrificing his love bravely, his dreams coming to life [ literally ] just with the groom changed as chris instead of him and still a smile appearing on his face at the end of it all. [ JUST SEE SHAH RUKH’S amazed EXPRESSION WHEN HE SEES THE RING FALLING THE SAME WAY IT DID IN HIS DREAMS. I END UP CRYING EVEN IF I JUST RECOLLECT THAT FRAME IN MY THOUGHTS ]
KUDOS TO KUNDAN SHAH FOR SUSTAINING HIS CLASS AFTER JAANE BHI DO YAARON [ alas he failed to do it afterwards ] AND GIVING US SUCH A MEMORABLE FILM TO BE CHERISHED FOREVER............... AND EVER.
