I do not speak Tamil. Last year (2017) I went to Kerala for vacation. I have always been fascinated by the Southern culture and cinema.
For all the non tamil speakers, if you are looking for a brilliant movie and appreciate good music, this movie is for you !
Many bollywood movies are adaptation of Southern regional films ! That is how good they are !
So i was sitting in this small restuarant and there was a song playing on the music system.
As a non tamil speaker I thought it must be in Malayalam. I asked our guide if he knows about the song, he said it was in Tamil. By the time i could do something, the song was over.
I spent hours searching on the internet for that song but all in vain. Then suddenly I foung thr unplugged version of that song in MTV Unplugged AR Rahman episode!
I was literally so happy !
I knew it was from a movie, so i Googled it.
And finally the search was over.
KADAl 2013:-
This movie takes you on a journey which you will never forget. Right from the start, the story is so gripping, you will feel the how the young boy grieves over his mother death.
It also shows the untouched and taboo topics of our society, life of an orphan, the struggle and unwelcomed he is in the society.
I wont discuss much as I believe that you should risk the taste of a fruit by feeling it or sniffing it.
The music of this movie is something you just cannot ignore. Once you have listened to it, you just cannot ignore how beautiful language Tamil is !
All hands down to the music Maestro, Mr Rahman !
I watched the movie with subtitles on Hotstar.
The print quality is good and no issues whatsoever.
It has all that makes a movie extraordinary.
