Hi Friends Earlier I had written a review on Ford Ikon 1.6 Exi. Today I want to tell you about my pleasant experience at their dealer M/s Kairali Ford, Cochin So far after taking delivery of the vehicle on Sep 13th, I have driven about 3300 Klm?s. Last week I had been to Banglore from Cochin via Salem and Krishnagiri. The roads were real bad, full off potholes, especially from Salem to Krishangiri.
I had to drive at night and it was raining heavily. The traffic was heavy with trucks. I could not see the road properly because of the lights from the on coming traffic. More over the focus of headlights were not correct. During the trip, the car hit some of the deep holes (a common feature in the rainy season) a few times. The wheel cup on the left front wheel was lost and the wheel disc was badly dent. The right front wheel disc was also slightly bent. I must say that the car was a delight to drive. While the ticking of the heart stopped with each hitting, the two persons were blissfully sleeping at the back.
Yesterday I took the car to the Kairali ford and asked them to replace the both the front disks at my cost including the wheel cup. I was expecting the bill to around 5000/- minimum after reading some of the reviews on this site. But to my surprise the Kairali Ford replaced them free of cost. I paid only the cost of the wheel cup (433/-) and Rs 60/- for fixing the tire on the new disk?s. The focus of headlights was also set right and they gave a car wash at their cost (first free service due only next month). I must say after this experience, the ford has really improved the service and customer care.
This must be a good news to all the ford owners and prospective new buyers. I hope this kind of customer care continues in future also. It will help a lot to improve the resale value of the vehicle.
