Not good movie but songs are great. It is a one-time watch movie. As this is Karan Johar movie so the sets and costumes matter. Here all the locations they shot on totally enthralled. There are other actors which have done dance in songs like Kiara Advani in first-class song and Kriti Sanon in aira gaira song which is an amazing song. The story starts with husnabad a small town which is located near Lahore. Here Alia Bhatt plays the role of roop which goes to the red light area to learn singing And also here she will meet Zafar which is played by Varun Dhawan. Here she develops an attraction towards Varun. Sonakshi played the role of Satya and she plays the role of Aditya Rai Kapoor’s wife. Dev (Aditya) run’s a business of newspaper printing. Bahaar begum(Madhuri Dixit) which teaches alia to sing. Zafar who is a blacksmith here he also likes to dance. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of balraj which is an interesting character. The story revolves around the Partition of India. They also showed the affair of roop and Zafar.
Overall it is good to watch. You will not get bored. Just as we expected the huge movie but it is not.
