Pathetic service, poor product avoid like plague

I purchased a Kamal solar water heater recently (Dec 2013). Within 15 days the system started leaking. The sales person (Mr Narasimha Murthy) makes all sort of false promises but disappears/not pick calls once the sale is done.


When I complained about the leak Ms Nagamani of the company  that it is because the water is hard. When I questioned as to how a new system can leak with in 15 days and after talking to their manager Subramani, they admitted that it is a manufacturing defect and sent a replacement (this took 2 weeks+ from the day I registered the complaint with multiple calls).


The sales person Narasimha Murthy promised that the system will work with hard water but once the sale was done and I received the warranty card, it said that warranty is valid only for hardness up to 140 PPM. When I asked about the commitment made during the pre-sales time, one of their manager Mr Subramani told that I can go to court.


Overall their service is pathetic. Pls check on water hardness since most part of Bangalore will have hard water and their warranty will not be valid. Pls get things in writing on warranty terms before paying since these people will make all sort of false promises to get the purchase order.


If you still go ahead and purchase, be prepared for unresponsive customer support and statements like "You can go to court."
