I had a very bad experience with the Kamat Hotel in Hubli on 19th March. I was travelling on train and had a brief halt at Hubli. So I went to this hotel which is situated just outside the railway station.
I went in and got a meal token, paid the amount and had the food. While going, I purchased a bottle of water and asked for the bill for both the meal and the water as I was travelling on official purpose.
Then by mistake, I paid a second time for the meal along with the water. I realised my mistake within a few moments when I came out on the road. Then I went in again and told the cashier that I had earlier paid for the meal when getting the token.The cashier flatly refused to pay me the balance. He pretended to forget that I paid again while getting the bill.
When I insisted, he asked his waiters to push me out and they did exactly that! I was defenseless against 4-5 people and couldnt launch a formal complaint as my train was scheduled to leave in less than 30 minutes.This was the first time I experienced such a disgusting experience in a restaurant. You can learn from my experience and keep away from such mediocre hotels.
