Was ecstatic when I saw the review on Kaminey in a website. It was a whopping 9 out of 10, would you believe!!! But didnt find the movie up to the high level of expectation.
Have to admit some audience in this country are biased/ emotional and should excercise their privilege of writing reviews in important websites with little caution.
The story is built nicely and stories of two brothers are interleaved together. So one is slightly confused in the beginning but the parts of the incidents shown individually in the beginning start forming the whole picture very soon.
Some visual flashes are forcefully shown which creates confusion but later on becomes clear. This I felt was knowingly done to bring about questions in the mind of audience. I felt this whole plot was not very spontaneous and hence could not be relished.
The acting of Priyanka Chopra was superb. Shahid was okay types. There was too much of gun firing, action and noise. Too much violence shown which was not needed at times. In one place I had to close my eyes because the blue lights were flashing so fast in a dance. The movie makers should think of our eyes also!!!
Its a kind of movie which gives the impression that the director wanted to be different from the other movies that are pumped into the Indian market. Not the typical sweet romantic ones! The movie is fast paced and one has to be attentive to know as the story unfolds.
I felt it was nothing spectacular, unlike the hype created.
