Named for a city in Afghanistan, this winning Oberoi eatery has cream-colored walls and pillars, a show kitchen, and stunning 19th-century Afghan etchings and handsome ethnic clothing mounted on the walls. The chefs has an emphasis on low-fat preparation and a line of wonderful kadhai (Indian wok) options. In dishes like karara paneer aur khilley phool, fresh ingredients such as broccoli florets and farmers cheese are quickly stir-fried with Indian ingredients like chili batter, pepper, and fresh mint to create a spicy curry.
