High Potential. Low Delivery.

I get a strange feeling that this movie started out as a great script that was ruined by the director in execution. It has got all the elements of a great movie, but they just don’t come together.

I won’t spoil the film by revealing the plot, but I will certainly voice my views on the shortcomings in this film...

For starters, the film should have dropped that stereotyped, terribly hackneyed narrative style. It sucks. Big time. You need great lines and a great voice to make that approach work.

Second, the excitement just fails to pick up and go anywhere. You’ve got all the elements of a thriller... the vast Australian countryside, gangsters, killers, crashing airplanes, guns... and yet - ho hum!

Third, The performances are disappointing... all the way. The actors can convey neither the tension nor the underlying comedy.

Overall, a waste of time... the only redeeming feature being, perhaps, the jacketed kangaroo wearing cool shades and rapping.
