Rewrite History.....Odisha.

KAPILAS as we know is a beautiful Mahadev temple also called as Chandrashekhar Temple located at a hilltop 26 kms away from Dhenkanal. And this temple rocks my memory of Engineering days.

After completion of my last semister exam from GITA Bhubaneswar, I along with my 22 hostelmates made a night trip programme to visit Kapilash with bike ride. 10 bikes were arranged and 2 use to be tripple ride. We got out at 11 pm and went around 85 kms haulting in between to finally reach the bottom of Kapilash at morning 5. There is all facilities for people from outside for refreshment. There we went biking all over the steep hills of Kapilash will steep turns. It was an amazing experience indeed with friends. The entire tour had lots of excitement which can never be felt just by writing. It was like ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA. After reaching we conveyed our greetings to Lord Chandrashekhar and made lots of pics. The monkeys who are the charm of this temple were very notorious. One of my freinds BHOG/ PRASAD was nicely stolen. So anyone going Kapilash be aware of the monkeys.

Note: keep your precious mobiles, wallets and other things inside your vehicle to avoid any kind of misplacement by the monkeys.

Overall a totally rocking trip. Roadways was very good. You can easily approch from Bhubaneswar as itvis only 75 kms from it. The entire journey was under the shade of trees covering the entire road , so no fear of sunny weather. So anytime is good to visit Kapilash.

There is refreshment room at the bottom of the hill but no accomodation facilities. Hotels are also not of quality standard. So definitely no way for halting.

As the place lacks halting issues and not preferable at night. The total route is idle so security issues may be there. So not wise to stay at night.
