I had to meet a friend for lunch and we generally end up eating at a Chinese, Italian or some other Continental restaurant. We both have seldom eaten proper Indian cuisine and I wanted to try out a new place and not go to the usual hang-outs. I did not have a lot of difficulty looking for this place, it seemed to be pretty famous in the area.
The place has an old world charm to it and we settled down for lunch. The first thing that caught my attention on the menu was the **Dry Fruit Lassi!** Lassi is my favorite and the dry fruits seemed to the icing on the cake here! We also called for 2 combos. I ordered a Combo that had **Dal Makhni, Shahi Paneer/Kadai Paneer, 3 Ghee Fulkas, Jeera Rice, papad, lassi/chass and kheer.**
My friend ordered a Combo that had **Chole Bhature, Boondi Raita, Lassi/Chass, and kheer or Shahi Tukda.** It took approximately 10 minutes for the food to arrive and I enjoyed my Lassi till then. The food arrived and the food looked and smelled really wonderful.
The dal makhni and the vegetables were very tasty and I loved every bit of my meal. The chassi(as I already had lassi) was too yummy! I tried my friends Chole Bhature and that too was well made and *tasted authentically Punjabi.* It was a very filling and an absolutely satisfying meal and I think I will be going back again with my family here.
