Yesterday I went to the Kaaraikudi Restaurant recently opened near Ashok Pillar. First look made me happy. The decoration, lighting effect and mirrors around you make lighting effect much more bright. We took our seats and ordered for food.
We ordered tomato soup, vegetable biryani, two Chicken biryani. Tomato soup is not so good. Then came the food vegetable biryani, chicken biryani. One great thing was, one chicken biryani was served with egg and the other without it. When we asked for ’raita’ (onion salad) waiter said that onion was over and yet offered to bring but he didn’t turn up.
The taste is also not so good. The food is bit costlier in this restaurant. If you want to just enjoy the look and feel but not the food you can go to this place. I suggest to go to this place for ambiance and you may even like the food (if you are lucky). The food is served in dishes which represents old culture.
