I really enjoyed this album. I know the movie was a bomb, but the music is worth listening too.
A lot of the music is quite frantic and fast, and nicely reflects the characters rather desperate situations.
I am not a music critic nor do I know much about Vishal-Shekkar the music director on the film but I will attempt to describe the tracks:
The first track Tinkaa Tinkaa sung by Alisha Chinoy rivals her performance with Dil ko hazar in Murder, a great song and Priyanka Chopra looks good with her voice in the movie. This is a very nice tune, I rate it 9/10.
Track 2 is Ishq Nachaya Kare, this is a very frantic and manic song. It is very fast and has some English sing too. I think it is a drug inspired song, but I like fast songs and I like the English singing. I rate it 9/10
Track 3 Koi Aisa Alam, I sort of ignored this one, it is slow and boring although some people might prefer this track . I am kind of sick of Sonu Nigam though and so I cant say if it is good or bad or just so so.
I will rate it a 7/10.
Track 4 Tera Hi Karam: this is a great song, sung by the composer or lyric writer, I am not sure. It is beautiful in its words, it sounds like a song that you would sing to God or something. The singer is similar to Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan in his voice. I give it a 10/10
Track 5 Le Jaa: This is my favorite on this track because it sings about total resignation and the deepest blackest depression. I am a bit morbid person, but this was the background to the wifes suicide attempt in the movie. Also, this song has some maniacal laughter near its end that seems suitable as if the person now is totally insane, this part was not played in the movie but I loved it. 10/10
The rest of the tracks are just remixes or instrumentals of the above, I iwsh there were some more tunes, but that is it. I think if you like manic crazy music and some really nice Nusrat type singing you should not look this album over.
