Ok, this is the second time I am writing this review so it better get posted.i think the other writers have already given the highlights of the series so i’m going to go straight t o the point with this one.okay lets start with the plot.the idea of having three sisters having the plot revolve around their lives was a good concept.i really like it.the show begins with mr.walia who helps the sisters by giving them shelter and bani a job.he falls in love with pia but she loves pushkar.jai proposes to her and driven by the love for money she accepts.ultimately she runs away from her wedding and bani has to stand in and marry jai who refuses to divorce her as a means to punish her.the idea is if her sisters see her suffer they will all suffer.and boy does jai do a fine job of being cruel.brutally so.
but lets talk characters.mr.jai walia is a wonderful actor because he can portray a myriad of expressions and you really know what he is feeling at each point in time.pain, anger love, confusion, calm, joy, sorrow, determination, everything!!he never has the same expression at all times and he has so much passion in showing his love and hate it is outstanding.he has a very commanding presence on screen.THEN WE COME TO BANI.everyone who thinks bani’s character is too good say ’I’!i mean for heaven’s sake she is too docile.i think ekta kapoor shouldn’t try to make her into a rhimjihm cos that would murder this show.i mean even rhimjhim had outbursts that could make u say ’’yay’’!!!!but bani has been entirely too docile.i mean even the most calm person would lose it at some of jai’s vicious verbal attacks.i just hope the writer takes a leaf from sindoor tere naam ka--i mean look at someone like vedika who never takes things lying down.she fights back and that is what I want to see.
now pia is also a good character who gives as much as she gets.i love her showdown with bhabi in pushkar’s family home.but it does leave her looking quite the lazy selfish wife.and rano being the youngest is emersed in her books but I like that she and saahil are getting soft on eachother.imagine jigyasa’s face when she finds out.speaking of jigysa, she and her son ranvir play the villains in the series.their plans usually come to nothing but the fact that she thought to call up roshni chopra’s character is genius cos things really needed to get ’’all shook up’’ on the play.what we need to find out now is who she was to jai.his ex-wife or ex-girlfriend.she is a good twist to the play at this point.
i think the use of flashbacks is way too much cos it uses up a lot of the time and we cant have a programme based on flashbacks now can we?oh and how can I forget to talk about the lovable billo masi and the mischievous biji.
i love this series as I am generally a sucker for hindi soaps and I cant wait to see how the plot unfolds.keep watching I guess.
