Kasauli is a nice place to visit if you want to relax for few days. there is nothing much to see or do. Just borad there enjoy green hills, walk on streets, sip tea coffee.
I was getting bored on sat so decided to go to kasauli on sunday morning. this was my trip to anyhill station in own car. mom was a bit nervous of my 1st driving on hills. granny was enjoying views of green hills and houses on the way.
Mainly I loved views on the way and driving in between hills. I live in kurukshetra. from here we reached panchkula, pinjore, kalka through NH1 and NH22. stoped at pinjore garden and spend sometime there. its beautiful garden to take a journey break.
Then moved ahead to dharampur. From dharampur u take left and road is a bit narower compared to NH22. but there is not much traffic to its fine. from dharampur. but if u see a truck or bus then u need to adjust car on road edge ;-) All the way my GPS was on to show route
after reaching kasauli bus stand you have to pay 45/- for parking and some taxes. then I moved to monkey point. driving on hills between green covers was wonderful experience :-)
at monkey point you have to get a pass from airforce people. remember to leave your mobiles, cameras, even car keys (if with remote locking) outside. you also have to carry some i-card to get pass.
monkey point is almost vertical. and u see monkeys all the way. never carry any eatables there. I got prasad downhill and after few steps a monkey came to me decently and took it away like I got it for him only. monkeys usually dont create any problems there. just be calm with them.
After reaching monkeypoint hill top offering prayers. I enjoyed clear view of valleys around. it was very beautifull site but no snapshot memories of this point :-( (no cameras allowed) Then enjoyed walk around hills and enjoyed view of old buildings.
We enjoyed aloo paratha and tea on the way. I found some wine bottles at a shop. asking about it I came to know that its local wine and it was it different flavours. some flowers, peach, apricot, apple, grapes etc. I bought two bottles of them.
We returned back same day. but I must say driving in hill is much safer then on plains. because on hill people driving very decently. I didnt noticed even a single accident on the way.
