Stretched along the lovely Paravati River with mountains rising around , kasol is the main traveller hang out in the valley . It is a small village but almost overrun with reggae bars , bakeries and cheap guesthouse catering to a largest backpackers crowd nowadays including growing numbers of Indians . Its also a summer time venue for trance parties transplanted from goa , and at any time an easy base for exploring the forested valley or just chilling out .
The village divides in old Kasol on bhuntar side and new kasol on Manikaran side . This sloping alpines meadows is a beatiful three to four hour walk up to the parvati valley from Barsheni which is 13km up from manikaran .The meadows is home to delectable hot spring and a shabby collection of shacj guest house cost you 200 to 500 rs and cafe or resturant open fro. About april to ocutober it is popular spot to drop out for cew days .
