Kadhavisheshan is a deed discerned in a very instinctive way by TV Chandran. I would term it a very realistic film farahead from the artificiality and slapstick type movies very commonly seen in malayalam these days.
What is kadhavisheshan all about ?? It is a ’’HOMAGE to SUICIDE’’. It may seem very difficult to grasp but what the director tries to explain here is that sometimes a failure of a person can be meaningful than thousand victories.
The story is about a man named Gopinathan menon whose life undergoes a drastic change with the experiences he gets frm working in different parts of the country.
He finds himself alone in big country wre ppl have no time for looking into the grieves of others and finally of this trauma, he commits suicide.
The movie progress through the protagonist’s girl interest Renuka menon’s(jyothirmai) investigations to find out the cause of his suicide!!!
The character of Gopinathan is revealed from his friends and relatives and story ends when Renuka finds out of the cause of his death.
There are many scenes in the film which deeply puts us into serious thoughts.One of such were when the protagonist says to the car driver ’’As long as we are alive we’ll not allow this to happen’’.we can see the helplessness and the mourn in his
words.
Another scene which I fail to forget is the conversation b/w Renuka menon and Gopinathan’s tamilian frnd(sorry I don remember characters name) were he asks her the reason why he should’nt die!!!
Unlike his previous movies, this time around, TV Chandran has put some musical aspect into his movie and they are commendable too.There are 2 songs in the movie and another 3 in the album(which the director didnt include in the film)
The song ’’Meere Duniya’’ derived from a famous hindi poem is beautifully tuned and picturized.This song appears in fragments in the movie with diffirent situations.
KAdhavisheshan is a great Film in its own way.It does’nt contain the commercial substances we generally see in a Dileep Movie.It is but a very meaningful movie protruding a solid message.
