There are few shows which sets the benchmark in history of Indian Television. we can spell those... Hum Log, Ramayan - Mahabharat, Antakshari, KBC and Sas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi. All were different and it’s very hard to choose the best one. But I always like KBC. It brought a dramatic success to many many people. This show was watched by millions and it will be remembered by millions
Let’s first check how KBC has started its first innings. If we check all the horses running for KBC were dark horses in year 2000. Amitabh Bachchan (down and out because of debts), Star Plus (tired because of competition with Zee and Sony) Siddharth Basu (not sure where to head after being retired after quiz master). Then they all get together and thought about making Indian version of ’’Who wants to be millionaire?’’ It was the beginning of Kaun Banega Crorepati?. Rest is the history.
First part was very very popular. It was infact first time after Mahabharat that we find none on roads during a TV Episode. KBC had made it possible.
This show grows gradually. If you remember all sponsor joins one by one after the launch of KBC. So it grows from bottom. It is indeed a great sign. KBC had given too good plots, episodes, incidences etc to remember. But main were its brilliant dialogues, I feel KBC comes 2nd best to Sholay in giving the most famous dialogues. Here are some which I remember the most.
Lock kiya jaye - Big B saying while there is a final answer from participants
Afsos, yeh galat jawab - Many using the same way to express a wrong answer after KBC.
Lifelines - This word is being used in many films and advt after KBC. In real life also we use it, isn’t it ?
50:50 - computer takes out 2 wrong answers out of 4.
Audience poll - The audience votes to help you with the answer.
Phone a friend - You call a friend when you don’t know the answer
Confident? Are you sure? - Penultimate chance before computerji Locks the answer.
Yeh apka final jawab hain? - Last chance before computerji Locks the answer.
Game chhod kar ja sakte ho - Final Good bye...

Don’t loose hope is the moral of the story
Frankly telling both are really beautiful strings.
I feel “Don’t loose hope” – a song well written, composed, sung and Picturized. Best moment in this song for me is - appeal se pahele ungali uthai. it was too good. This is a song which is inspiriational also. All can relate their own selves with this lines. Super indeed.
Hope this time KBC will become even bigger. All are waiting for its launch (I certainly do).
There are some other facts about KBC 2.
There will be 85 episodes in its second innings
The prize money is doubled at each stage. So final prize money is 2 crore.
There are other side prizes also for viewers.
There will be a 4th life line (flip a question, means u can change one question if u don’t like it)
But at the same time I feel there are some challenges in front of KBC. these are like
This time its on week end. I feel ppl like to freak out on weekend at least at evening time. To become popular at this time is really tough.
There is too keen competition among all programs now. Jassi has given first shock to KBC by declaring marriage of Jassi and Arman on the day of relaunch of KBC.
There is nothing new for people this time. Last time all came as surprise and people like it very much. This time there is no surprise.
Mr Bachchan is often appearing on TV now. So many movie and commercials in which Mr Bachchan is appearing. Last time it was not such case so Mr Bachchan was having a rare appearance on TV.
Hope this show will come out of these challenges and make history again. I was willing to write other items also but it’s now time for KBC relaunch. I am a bit late and I need to go to see it so I have to end my review here.
