I have read reviews about KBC where people liked ait and also criticised it. The standard criticism is that Harshvardhan’ episode where he made 1 crore and AMir Khan/ Sonali Bendre episodes were marketing gimmicks.
I don’t understand why we Indians tend to look beyond what the episode is intended for. It is there for fun and enjoyment and to watch individuals make big money. Ask yourself these simple questions:
Do you have an itch to switch to star plus at 9.00 p.m.
Don’t you enjoy the style and presence of BigB
Are not the questions educating you?
If your answer is yes then the serial has served its purpose.
I believe KBC has achieved all this. The Star plus channel is interested in improving its rating and in their marketing strategy they may adopt any style to achieve it. That is their problem and should not bother us. In fact the 2 episodes mentioned above was the most watched ones.
So enjoy rather than criticise. Else don;t watch
