First of all this review applies only to the Japanese made Kawasaki Eliminator 180 which
was sold in India by Bajaj. The Indian made Bajaj Avenger is not the same bike. Eliminator is way way ahead of Avenger in all aspects.
I have a special relation with my Eliminator. Weve been through some rough times and rough roads together. And I have to say that this baby has never let me down.
For the first 10 years I rode the bike only in the city and it performed really well. The only issue that with this bike in the first 10 years was the self starter which started slipping sometimes and would not engage properly. 2 years ago I took the eliminator for a country tour.
2 years on the road covering from the highest mountain ranges in the world in North India to the lazy beaches of Kerala. I mostly travelled solo but at times I had pillion riders too. This bike always performed up to the mark. It even carried me and my 100+ kg friend with all our luggage to the highest motor-able road in the world.
Pros
Best looking bike ever
Powerful 180cc engine
Beautiful handling and feel
Excellent braking
Extremely reliable
Low comfortable riding position esp for long rides
Cons
Fuel Economy is low. The bike is a fuel guzzler.
Parts are extremely difficult to get in India
Cruiser style bike has a balance that takes time to get used to
