Caliber Exels itself as Croma

I am writing after owning this bike for 8 months. In 8 months the thing I had to spend is on fuel and regular servicing. It gives a good mileage and its pickup is also good. When I was planning to buy the byke everybody suggested to but Victor/Freedom , but I bought this vehicle and now I think I have made no mistake. The spares are cheap and easily available (though I have not needed till now, but I have the knowledge of where what is found and at what rate). In 8 months I have travelled some odd 12000 KM, but my bike is still a no problem bike. The maximum I got to a liter of petrol is 79 KM. on an average I get 55-60 KMPL. A very good byke to buy. bajaj never marketed it well as it did with 115, Wind, Pulsar, Chetak, etc, but it still had a large no of fans. The number of owners of croma I met at service stations say that most are satisfied.Sorry to see thet it is not being produced now and and the last stocks are there in the showroom. Bajaj replaced it with 115, but I think it was better. Bajaj should have produced this vehicle for some more period so that people could get the taste of this great machine first hand. Some more updates on the same bike::: The same bike is now 2 yeas and 4 months ( 28 minths) old, and still rock solid... Mileage is arround 55 now. Not a single penny spent on engine , and the engine has not been opened also.. I can take the bike to anywhere, it is so reliable. Paint quality is awsome as nothing has happened to the paint after such a long time also... SO my next bike will also be a Bajaj, as I know how reliable their bikes r.. Some more updates on the same bike::: My bike is now 3 years and 2 months old and still going strong. I really like the bike. And acording to my last update on this review that my next bike will be a bajaj. I am planning to by the Bajaj Pulsar225 DTSFi which is going to be launched by this october 2006.

UPDATES

IT has been more than 6 years and still I have the bike. Though I ride the bike quiet less as I either ride my almost 3 year old Pulsar 180 DTSI else drive my Indica Xeta. But still now I did not forget my first love so I still clean it , service it and maintain properly. What I can say after owning for six long years is it is an wonder piece of machine. Still now it starts up in the first kick and runs fine. Still now it gives me a steady mileage of 55KMPL and still can touch 95KMPH. I am too proud to have this bike and will never sell this bike.
