The overall design language of the new Ninja 650 is in line with the Ninja ZX-10R. The front is aggressive and sharp and that makes the bike look sportier. It’s the same story with the riding position. The foot pegs have been moved behind and the handlebar is shorter, giving the new Ninja 650 a sportier stance. Kawasaki has equipped the new Ninja 650 with a three-level adjustable windscreen.
The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is powered by the proven 649cc parallel-twin motor. This motor is known for its good mid-range. The power has been dropped to 69bhp from 71bhp, but the Ninja 650 is 19 kilograms lighter, so it has better power-to-weight ratio. The power is transferred to the rear-wheel via a slipper clutch. The Japanese manufacturer has only offered the ABS variant in India and that’s a good thing.
