Kawasaki Motors announced that it plans to participate in the 2016 edition of Bonneville Speed Week. The Japanese manufacturer will be represented by Team 38 who will be riding the Kawasaki Ninja H2R hyperbike.
Kawasaki had planned to participate in the speed run last year but due adverse weather conditions which resulted in flatland getting submerged it had to enter the “Mojave Mile” event instead. Despite the fact that the bike only had 1.6km straight to register its top speed from a standing start, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R clocked an incredible 348.2kmph!
According to Kawasaki owing to the shorter track length the full potential of the Ninja H2R’s powerplant wasn’t utilised.
