My wife is having minor pigmentation/acne on her face. As a good husband I had taken her to kaya’s m.g road (Bangalore) clinic..err..shop. I HAD high regard for kaya, as it is Marico Group company. Prior to our visit to the shop, I had been to their website, and happened to chat with their online customer support executive. During my conversation with web executive, she told me I will have to pay Rs. 200 as consultation fee and my wife have to come for 6 sessions, where one session costs about Rs. 1800. She also told me since I am taking 6 sessions, she will give me Rs 250 off per sessions (which will come around 10, 500).
We took an appointment for 4’o clock, and reached there by 4 o’ clock. We had to wait there for a good 45 minutes to meet the doctor (I don’t know whether he is a doctor or just a beautician). After the consultation with the doctor, a consultant ( sales executive in plain English) with face full of acnes took us to another room. She gave us some gyaan on the treatment. She said doctor had advised 8 sessions of some peeling treatment and 7 sessions of some other treatment to my wife, which will roughly come up to Rs 20, 000. Apart from this, she will have to use creams, lotions and face washes, prior, throughout and after the treatment. Price of one simple face wash is Rs 550!! I informed the consultant about my chat with kaya online executive and about the discount she promised. The consultant told me they are presently not offering any discount, so no way she can give me any discount. She also told me I will have to pay the total amount right way and they don’t offer ‘pay per session’ facility (Apparently, even after paying such a bomb they don’t guarantee 100% cure!). We were quite hesitant about paying so much.
Sensing this, our consultant immediately came down to Rs. 17, 000 for the full package and requested for full payment then and there! We were not convinced (even seeing the “clear faces” of people coming and going out of kaya shop), so we said we’ll come back. Then consultant told us meanwhile my wife can use a facewash which is very good, which we said okay for. After that she told me I had to pay Rs 500 for consultation.
So all together [facewash = Rs 550/- + consultation fee Rs. 500] I had to give Rs 1050!!! I was shell shocked and didn’t have the energy to fight for consultation fee discrepancy (web consultant told us consultation fee is just rs 200!). So we just paid it and just vanished!!!! The biggest blunder I did was, I didn’t visit this website before visiting kaya shop.
