I have normal skin that turns a little oily in summer & dull in winter. I do not have any acne, just light scars which I wanted lightened further, and glowing skin. My review will not be helpful to those who have chronic or severe skin problems, as I dont know how helpful/useless Kaya services has been for them.
I have spent a good 30k at Kaya for Microdermabrasion, photofacial & Glycolic peels.I definitely saw some good results from the specialty services over time, but it is all temporary and usually lasts 3-4 months. So hey if you are getting married or can afford it, do try them.
All in all the services are done in very clinically clean and relaxing rooms, the staff is really good. They are well trained and very polite & courteous, which maybe why they have to charge so much hehe.
I have read a lot o complaints against Kaya, I think it is mainly because they have tried to address a market that is very new to India. Luxury Wellbeing & Spa-ish markets are booming worldwide. But in India we have parlors at every nook and corner where loyal clients have been going for years. Kayas services are well thought out but priced for the future, maybe a few years away.
As our economy grows, it brings a rise in our salaries, we spend more, we start trying things we dont need but may want to try.And of course we Indians are known for our thrift! We always look for value for our money.Which is why I feel, people come out complaining from places like Kaya, after paying anywhere from Rs.5000 upwards, we expect a world of change in our appearance and often dont see it.
Kaya needs to counsel their patients more on the finance of their endevours and gauge whether the client is going to appreciate it or not. Instead they add a list of services which the clients are usually too shy to refuse.Obviously this is not going to end well if the client does not see dramatic results!
If you are thinking about trying Kaya services:-DO NOT BE AFRAID to ask for prices because it is your own hard earned money. -DO NOT BE persuaded to take on too many packages you cannot afford or need.-They are after all a business so they will surely try to sell maximum services to you.
-You have to be on your alert and choose the packages wisely.-Before you go there have a number in mind, limit yourself to that amount while signing up.-No package is below Rs.4000 so be prepared. -They have single session facials but I goto my local parlors for those as you get same results for half the price.- TAKE PICS of your face before & after going for each session so you have a record of the effects.
The only disappintment Ive had is with their products, they are not at all effective! So dont buy the sunscreen, moisturizer or the hair stuff.
But do not go there last minute because these treatments are done over a period of 1-2 months so plan well in advance.
I would continue some select Kaya services if I could afford it =(
