I had watched the big budget "Kayamkulam Kochunni" on the very next day of release in Delhi in PVR Logix Noida. As I had mentioned it is one of the big budget movie in Malayalam film industry with 45 crore. The director Roshan Andrews, producer Gokulam Gopalan and script writer Bobby & Sanjay are the back bones behind the screen on this movie
The epic Kayamkulam Kochunni famed the life of a highway theaf in British Raj and the movie says the life a theaf in both the angles as how he became a theaf and as theaf how he behave.
Around the first 1 hour the movie says the life of kochunni before he transformed into a theaf. and when Ithikara pakki comes into screen the movie geared up.
After all Kochunni is an innocent man having kindness to the poor people of the society and he is always robbed the upper class of people and shared among the poor once.
Noted, the role of Kayamkulam Kochunni is acted by Nivin Pauly and as a cameo performance Mohanlal acted as the legendry Ithikkara Pakki, other leading roles are portraited by Sunny Wayne, Priya Anand, Babu Antony, Shine Tom Chacko.
In Malayalam film industry historical movies are not the first time but when we compared to the previous epic movies I think both the director and script writer done a great job in "Kayamkulam Kochunni" because the only available resource to knowing about Kayamkulam Kochunni and ithikkara Pakki is Aithihya Mala, a collection of old stories in Malayalam written by Kottarathil Sankunny. Therefore research work is not an easy task behind the screen.
The music and background score are done by Gopi Sundar and Binod Pradhan taken care of the cinematography in a very appreciable manner and the distribution work is done by Gokulam movie release.
After all its really a marvelous movie from Gokulam Gopalan and we can take the tickets without much tension.
