About 10 days ago me and my colleagues from zoology department visited Kaziranga National Park as our field trip.
Rhino is the first animal which comes to our mind when we think of this national park, but it has many more things which you should know.
Kaziranga National Park is one of the TWO world heritage site of Assam and this park has amazing landscapes with elephant grasses. These grasses are so tall that an elephant gets fully covered with it.
There are many rare and endangered birds which you can easily find here and if lucky you can even find King Cobra here.
There are many local hotels, ranging from medium to high class level you can easily get hotels for stay, but there is a problem of food here as most assamese only eats Daal-Chaaval and if you are Gujarati like me then you have to do some arrangement by yourself.
As these place is naxali effected so you have to take care like always go in group. Though we didnt experience any kind of these but still you cant expect.
