Kedarnath is one the 12 Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva in India and one of the dham of "chota char dham" and one of the Kedar of "Panch Kedar" in Uttrakhand which makes its importance for Hindus devotees.
History- According to Hindu Mythology, this temple was build by "pandav" when they were in their last phase of life.
How to reach - To reach Kedarnath, first you have to reach "Gourikund" which is 230 km far from Haridwar. After Gourikund you have to cover 14 km distance by feet.
Kedarnath temple situated at the bank of "Mandakini" river and "Saraswati" river.
After the 2013 flood flesh, the local government have started to heed about human safety and now there is no danger to travel Kedarnath. You can visit Kedarnath between April to September and hotels and rest houses are easily available in Kedarnath.
