Hi friends, Vaasu, the traveller is back to continue our journey from kalhatti falls to next exciting place. kemmangundi peak which is in Tarikere taluk of Chikmagalur district and 17kms from Lingadahalli, can be located on Google maps too. The peak is 1434metres ie approx 5800 feet above sea level. In olden days this was a retreat place for the king krishnaraya wodeyarIV. The peak point called z point is a vantage point at kemmangundi and can be reached by a trek.the trek takes around 40 minutes and at the highest altitude you can enjoy the fog all around you with a beautiful view to look around. While trekking be careful as it is a very narrow way which is a bit dangerous, Be cautious in some places the way is a bit slippery due to fog but you will never regret the trek as you feel like paradise which is really amazing. You can reach halfway by the local vendor jeeps and the rest half has to be reached by trek. This is an amazing experience in a lifetime so dont miss it. There is no public transport available so one has to visit through their own vehicles. There is no food and accommodation/refreshment available so please carry the needs. Food is available at local vendors which is around 6 kms away so better carry your food. Best time to visit is monsoon.Thats all for now. We shall continue our journey in the next review. Keep following me and do like me.
