I purchased this cooler form Janjgir, Chattisgarh for Rs. 6400/- in April-10. After one day of purchase the water pump did not work. I took the cooler to shop for repair. They somehow managed to run the pump in front of me, then I took it to home again. When I reached home, started the cooled. but to my surprise the pump again not working.
Next day I took the cooler replaced by the dealer. With the new cooler, Ifound new problems, when I switch to "cool & swing" , swing is not happening. I could either swing only or cool only at a time. That means I could not operate both water pump & swing motor at a time, though it is a inbuilt feature of the product. ( for those features only I took kenstar instead of Local made cooler)
After one month of adjustment one fine day the swing motor totally failed to operate.
From that day I managed to run the cooler only in cool mode, feeling itis a horrible situation after spending on cooler a cool 6.5k rupees. I could contact the customer care two times, the call was connected after several attempts, the complain nos are RAI1505100003 & RAI 1705100066. But in vein, no one appeared for service.
I felt helpless and thought it would have been better to buy a local made good quality cooler of same capacity in Rs 4000/- and I could also get the support of the local repair man of the shop.
People buy branded products only to be asured of quality and assured service.
Why one should one pay a premium price for a product of worst quality and withoud any service.
It is just throwing your money to water.
My advise to all please get away from Kenstar Products - WORST QUALITY, premium price and no service
