I live at Ghaziabad, which is one of the most polluted area in India:(
After my research I shortlisted Atlanta Healthcare Beta 350 but due to their poor service/ delivery restrictions I ordered Kent Aura air purifier from my nearest store.
Usability:
I have been using it for more than 3 months now, from usability point of view, the operations and controls are pretty easy to use, however, if they could include a remote along with the device it would have been better.
This air purifier comes with CDR(Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 180 which is sufficient for my bedroom, I often use it in my living room which is about 400 sqft and noticed partial effect on air quality.
This device also have a negative ion generator which can be turned off, but it turns on by default if power goes and comes back.
Filters & Sensors:
The device comes with below filters and sensors:
Pre-filter - Good(Comes Sticked along with Activated Carbon Filter)
Activated carbon filter - Very Good(effectively removes odour from air)
Very thin film of Micro Bacterial filter(comes sticked along with HEPA)
Hepa Filter - Average
Negative Ion Generator
Air Quality sensor(adjusts fan speed automatically)
There is no noice while operating it minimal speed, however it gets little loud when on high speed(similar to split AC)
Durability:
Overall device has good looks and built, Ideally only filters are to be replaced, but in my case the button panel was not working properly, I had called up the help desk and they repaired it in a day time.
I noticed that its timer button is now not working, will call help-desk again and update this review after it is repaired again.
Filters are pretty costly when compared to other rivals, I hope this one has better quality though.
Cleaning the Device:
I clean pre-filter using my vacuum which is effective, however HEPA filter has a micro-bacterial film attached on it so its not easy to clean HEPA filter, I do a soft vacuum on it but not sure how effective that would be.
Style & Design:
The design is simple but build quality seems much better than other purifiers at this range.
Service & Support:
Kent has good service, filters are easily available unlike some other purifiers, I have called them once and was pretty satisfied with their service, usually a technician visits within 24 Hrs of reporting a problem.
Overall, this purifier does the job well but Atlanta Healthcare Beta 350 would be a better choice if you can compromise on service.
