I purchased this machine 5 months back. now it is dead. Belive me Pump changed, Membrane also changed. I suspect something wrong in KENTS manufacture, sales, service system. Lets examine.
The dealer who will sell product will provide service have 3 flaws which may affect costumer.
1) He will sell in a area far away where it will not easy to provide service
2) He may sell wrong combination of products in order to make profit. suppose iron guard is required but not available in stock, simply he will not sell.
3)Intentionally he will provide bad service, so that costumer will have to change parts frequently, by that way he will earn more profit. etc. Even he can change parts before selling
Take my example
I purchased Kent Grant plus on 26 th may 2012. I logged on Sulekha. So call came from a representative. He pushed hard saying that I will get very good after sale service. The representative was from

When I conformed within 3 hour he made it installed. But it stopped working on 12 th June after 17 days. So I called the sales representative and asked did he installed any wrong product, i.e. he had installed two sedimentation filters instead of iron guard. His reply was iron guard is not required in this area.
He logged a complain on behalf of me. I did not get service immediately. I had to take two leaves to avail the service( I stay alone).
So my first complain solved on 19/6/12, they changed the pump, i.e within a month after purchase.
But all the problem not solved. It was taking more than 2 hour for filling my tank 8 liter. As per specification 15 Liter Per Hour when TDS level is 750. At my home TDS is 390.
That much water is sufficient for me, but since filtration is too slow water loss and electricity consumption is too much. I compromised with that much yield because I was staying alone. I can bear that expenditure.
But again filtration completely stopped on 1st week of August. They tried to do Acid wash but no benefit. SO THEY CHANGED THE MEMBRANE on 06.08.12 i.e. LESS THAN 2 AND HALF MONTH AFTER PURCHASE. It worked well for 3 or 4 week only after that yeild was less and another problem no auto cut. So again I complained on 03.10.12(TWO MONTH AFTER SECOND COMPLAIN) they did acid wash, but auto cut problem was not resolved as the person did not carry the spare part and their office is too far away. After that I called the mechanic several times to solve the auto cut problem, but no result. on 20.10.12 the MACHINE COMPLETELY STOPPED I complained on 14hr 28 minute 14 second same day. I was assured that they will send somebody immediately. but no body came. next day I called the mechanic directly. he said that he will send some body, again false promise.
So I decided to go to consumer court. I was waiting for call list of my mobile bill, so that I can prove that I have filed complain on 20.10.12.
CONCLUSION. Within five months from date of purchase 3 times machine stopped working, 1st time pump changed, 2nd time membrane changed, auto cut problem not solved, 3rd complain on 20.10.12 not attended till date. My machine is dead till date 04.12.2012. Of course I got a call just yesterday, I made my intention clear that I decided to go to Consumer court.
I purchased this product influenced by advertisement aired by KENT in which Hemamalini endorses the product. So it is responsibility of KENT to bring things in order. My demand from KENT
option 1) to give my money back.
option 2) New machine from different vendor with ALL INDIA AMC for two year( I will pay the current AMC charge), apart from 1 year fresh warranty so that I can use the machine for at least 3 year hassle free.
Otherwise I will go consumer court. I am prepared for out of court settlement. I can be reached on

I suggest to KENT to separate sales and service. Service should be provided directly by company itself and the AMC should have all India valid.
Many companies entering water purifier business, because this sector is booming. But only serious companies should survive. I am thankful to MouthShut_Official for providing a platform for this purpose.
