Buy Kent, Buy Headache for life

I have Kent Grand Plus Water purifier. The look and product quality is good but the service provider is pathetic and they are appointed to make your life a hell. Even when its in warranty period, they ask you to pay for some absurd reason like Petrol Charge, Courier charge etc. Even for the installation, they made me to pay Rs. 300 on account of petrol charge.


When I refused to pay now, my machine is not working from last 25 days and there is no person who is concerned to repair the machine..


Problem:

  • The water pump stopped working and service guy came and replaced it and charged us Rs. 350 as courier charge (Saying that they have to send them this machine back to Noida office by courier)

  • After 20-25 days, again it stopped working and they asked us to pay again. I immediately refused and they became rude and said that they will not visit unless I pay them.

  • Spoke to manager over Bangalore office and he also spoke to service guy/technician and asked them not to charge anything and repair it in a day. Service person/technician agreed.

  • From that day, they are saying they will do it tomorrow but for them, there is no tomorrow. They are making us to call them 2-3 times a day.

Service is most important part of any product  but this is WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE, AVOID Kent if you want to live a peaceful life. Go for any other product. I heard ’Eureka’/"Hindustan Lever" has got good service but I am not sure. So ask from your friend before you buy.

UPDATES (April 18, 2013): Despite my reminder, no one bothered to contact me but thanks to Bangalore based manager, whom we got in touched with and he helped me to resolve the issue. But the headache does not end here.


My machine started giving beep sound and again I called customer care last week. That day my brother was also here and told me that your UV lamp has gone and there is no need to change filters. When the technician came, I told him the same and without checking he said there is no issue over UV lamp, just change filters and activated carbon black. I got it changed and the sound kept coming.


Then he checked UV lamp and told me that this lamp has gone. And asked me to pay Rs. 800 for the filters (which he changed it for no reason). He told me he will replace the UV lamp tomorrow. Now I am tired calling him from last one week and everyday he says that he will be come today/tomorrow. Do you customer care guy really care except pasting standard reply that someone will contact me.


UPDATES (April 26, 2013):


NO ONE FROM CUSTOMER SUPPORT HAS CONTACTED ME. I am tired calling them 3-4 times daily and no one turning up to repair the product. The system is idle from last 1 month.


The company claims to work closely with Mouthshut.com and this is complete nonsense. They never contact you (they just write one standard reply that they will contact).
